Old Transaction

How can I find an old transaction?
By sir_snipes_alot

Buyers and Sellers alike often have a need to go back and review an old auction transaction, sometimes these auction listings can be difficult to find, particularly if you have not saved your e-mails regarding the transaction, or the end of auction notice with all the pertinent information. There are a couple of ways to find old auction listings.

If the auction listing is less than 30 days old, the easiest way to find it is to go to your "My eBay Page". At the very top of every eBay page is a link for "My eBay", just click on the link. Sellers will then need to click on the "selling" tab - buyers are taken directly to the bidding management page. The only trick with using this page is that the default number of days to display data is set to (2) days. You may change the display to show the past (30) days by changing the days to display box to (30) and clicking on go.

If the transaction you are interested in is more than 30 days old, but less than 90 days old, it will still reside in the eBay database. If you have not already left feedback on this transaction you can use the "find feeback I need to leave" option. After clicking on the link in the previous sentence, you'll be asked to sign in. Once you have signed in you will be taken to a page where you'll need to click on a button labled "find all transactions in the past (90) days" - click on the button and look for your auction transaction.

Finally, if you have already left feedback on the transaction you can easily find the transaction by searching for it by using the "feedback I have left" option. Clicking on the previous link will take you to a page where there is a list of all feedback you have left for others - regardless of the age of the auction. The item numbers are listed as part of each feedback entry, unfortunately, the actual auction pages can only be displayed if they have ended in the last (90) days. You will however be able to find the seller or buyer's name, which will allow you to contact them through the eBay mail service.
