Turbo
Auctions-
A Turbo Auction, allows the seller to auction low
priced items and possibly garner quick and enthusiastic
bidding on highly desired items. This is done by forcing
the Turbo Auction to always start at a low fixed amount,
and does not allow for a Reserve price option. Otherwise
the Turbo Auction is just like a standard auction
in that the highest bidder at the close of the auction
is the winner of the auction.
Silent
Auctions - A silent auction is exactly like
a normal auction in that something is being auctioned
off to the highest bidder - with the exception that
submitted bids are not made available to the public.
The benefit for bidders is in the fact that there
will be no pressure placed on you, as there often
is with an open auction when you must openly compete
with the bid amounts others have submitted. In a Silent
Auction, you simply place a bid in the amount you
would like to offer - starting at the minimum bid
amount, and if you're the highest bidder at the conclusion
of the auction, you're selected as the winnner of
the item that was auctioned.
Barter Auctions - The bidders get
to offer a combination of goods/services and possibly
cash, for the item being offered and the seller is
able to choose which offer they will accept.
Reverse Auctions - While traditional
auctions involve a single seller and many buyers,
a reverse auction generally involves many sellers
and one buyer.
Linked Auctions - This
auction has a link to the item which is offered for
sale on another web site . The whole deal is then
concluded at this linked site. It is particularly
useful if you have your own Shopping Cart installed. |
