Quick
Search
- You can use the quick search function from any of
eBay's pages. It's a simple process that any newbie
can use: in the search box, which is situated at the
top of just about every eBay page, enter the name
of the item in which you're interested and eBay will
generates a list of all the auctions that match your
keyword(s). Try to be a specific as you can for your
searches. Searching to vague will bring up thousands
of result, way to many to manage.
Here's an example: Say you're looking for a new bike.
If you march right in and do a search on eBay for
bike, you'll certainly get lots of listings--about
21130, to be exact. That's because the search engine
crawls all auction titles that include the word "bike"
So you'll be getting anything from pocket bikes to
pictures of bikes. The more specific you are the better
your chances are of finding exactly what you want.
If you search for "Mountain Bike" you narrow
your search down to 1810 items, if you keep going
and try" red mountain bike" you get only
29 listings. It's much easier to find the deal looking
through 29 listing as apposed to over 20,000.
