Find Your True Maximum Bid
You must determine the most that you are willing to pay
(True Maximum Bid) . This is an extremely important part of the snipe, if your bid is not high enough then it won't matter if it's the last bid placed because you will not win.

Deciding your True Maximum Bid
- Add cents to your final bid amount. eg $25.34. Doing so will beat out a $25 bid.
- Research the item to find out it's true value
- Decide how much it's worth to you
- Remember that there are very few "unique" items on eBay, so chances are that the item will come up for auction again if you are patient.

Don't place a ridiculously high maximum bid either, you never know when someone else might be planning on doing the same thing. They enter $9999 and you enter $10,000 for a $150 item. People do this expecting to come out at top @ $155. Except if someone else jumps in then you could be looking at a really expensive eBay purchase.
